Drawing has always allowed me to express creativity and find flow. While both sides of my family participated in the arts, it is my maternal side, in particular my grandmother, who inspired me to draw.  For this reason, I am using my maiden name to sign these - Jennifer Muddiman.

 

Earlier on in my career, I was a primary school teacher and it was not unusual for me to create drawings (characters, animals, fish) in the evenings and then the next day, leave these miniature artworks in the desks of students with a note to let them know that they were seen and I was in their corner. 

 

'SUCCULENT'


The 'Succulent Collection' celebrates the female form as nature - strong, beautiful, miraculous and each piece is an embodiment of individuality. They are one-of-a-kind with no prints or copies made. 

 

The collection pairs a succulent with the feminine form - a watery reflection of one another and honors and celebrates both - standing proud, full of mana (strength), unapologetically taking up space.  The 3D box design allows for light to participate in and contribute to the artwork through the casting of shadow.
